Pay it forward

This year, 18,235 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Each week, we receive feedback from our members on how Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) has supported them through their breast cancer journey.

These messages demonstrate the difference we make to the lives of so many.

We couldn’t do the work that we do and continue to help all those who are diagnosed without the generous support of our donors.

Please make a gift of $69 today and help us to be there for the 50 Australians who will be diagnosed with breast cancer today, tomorrow and each day.

Beryl

Last week I had a biopsy, and the results show that there has been a recurrence. Of course, this is not welcome news. However, the upside is ‘this is treatable’. Yesterday afternoon, feeling tired and a bit overwhelmed I gathered all my Beacons, snuggled up under the doona, and read them from cover to cover. I felt as though I was with friends, and could feel myself relaxing. it was so very reassuring to read of the research being done and other personal stories. I felt part of a caring, diligent, and practical community. I felt stronger. Thank you to The Beacon and BCNA community. – Beryl

When I was diagnosed on Christmas Eve I had to wait weeks to speak with a surgeon. I was so glad to have found the BCNA online network during this period. The posts helped me to feel more at ease and much more positive during this difficult period. – Jennie

BCNA was there when I was at my lowest, when I was at my most vulnerable. The online network kept me going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the online services kept me in touch and informed better than the doctors themselves. Thanks so much BCNA for your support. – Jo

Lana
Right from the start, BCNA provided me with the
My Journey Kit and I knew if I had any questions or needed to talk to someone apart from my doctors or friends, BCNA was there for me. – Lana

It was all very daunting. I found anything with the Pink Lady logo very reassuring and helpful. Receiving the lovely My Journey Kit was extremely supportive and I used it as a guide for a long time. – Pamela
