We have expanded our suite of resources for people affected by metastatic breast cancer with a new series of videos now available on our website.
The Speaking from experience video series was launched on Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day (13 October).
The videos provide information and support to people affected by metastatic breast cancer, including family members and friends. Four BCNA members share their thoughts and feelings about the time of diagnosis, tips about what they found helpful and what they wished they had known at that time.
The women provide a personal account of how they deal with the emotional, practical, physical and psychological challenges of metastatic breast cancer, and continue to live as well as possible. The women range in age from 39 to 61 years.
For some, metastatic breast cancer was their first cancer diagnosis, others have been treated for early breast cancer then experienced a recurrence of the disease.
The videos were developed in partnership with Healthily, a Melbourne-based health promotion company specialising in patient and carer storytelling. View the Speaking from experience – women with metastatic breast cancer share their stories video series.
